Very excited and honoured to have been shortlisted in two different categories at the inaugural edition of the Times Higher Education (THE) Awards for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. It’s a big occasion for us to be shortlisted in such a large scale event, and motivates us to continue working on our projects with even more energy. Although we did not win this year, it’s great to be in the conversation for one of the best projects in two distinct research categories.
- Research Project of the Year: Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences
- Research Project of the Year: STEM
The submission for the first category is the ongoing project about racial and gender biases within higher education, in collaboration with Dr. Nishtha Lamba, head and founder of the Social Psychology Research Lab (SPRL). The second category is related to the automation of e-waste handling using a robotic manipulator, being led by Dr. Judhi Prasetyo of the RobotechX lab at the university.
Congratulations to all!
